The South Lakeland Flying Tigers is a youth, AAU travel baseball club that plays out of the Sunshine Athletics Baseball League in Central Florida. The team is primarily made up of players that play out of the South Lakeland Babe Ruth League at Carter Road Park in South Lakeland.
The Flying Tigers formed in the fall of 2008 as the South Lakeland Tigers and changed it’s name to the current Flying Tigers in the spring of 2009 after gaining a sponsorship from the minor league organization.
The goal of the team is to promote the baseball skill development and character enhancement of our players. We attempt to achieve our goal by building character through teaching the value of a strong work ethic, commitment to a goal, good sportsmanship, teamwork, and the promotion of a winning attitude. Flying Tiger coaches stress the “right way to play the game” through teaching the fundamentals and respect for the rich heritage of the game of baseball.
We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our team is a positive influence in the lives of our children. We also strive to provide a service to our community by providing a healthy outlet for children and opportunities for the community to unite.
Sportsmanship Teamwork Strength Character Discipline Dedication

We have 4 Ground Rules for the team:

2. Good Sportmanship - Respect your teammates and coaches
3. Hustle between the lines
4. Have fun!
Our team is registered as a non-profit organization. We appreciate the generous support of the community, local merchants, and civic organizations.
